LINO BROTTO

Internationally recognised at a young age through the competitions: "Baronissi '96" (first prize), "Eddy Lang '97" and "Massimo Urbani Awards '04". Lino performs in the USA and in Europe, appearing in the most significant jazz festivals.

 

In 2007 he was awarded a special prize ("Grolla d'Oro") by the Municipality of Treviso (IT) as musician of the year.

 

He collaborates with international artists including Enrico Rava, Marco Tamburini, Lee Konitz, Chris Hunter (Gil Evans Orchestra), Mauro Beggio, Sandro Gibellini, Steve Swallow, Franco Cerri, Ares Tavolazzi, Paolo Birro, Fabrizio Bosso, Dominic di Piazza, Franco Testa amongst others. In the pop music he played with the eminent Italian singer-songwriter Claudio Baglioni. He has also written many soundtracks for the cinema and theatre.
